She created Virtual Youth Buddies due to the closure of schools and the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the West Coast. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering at local food distribution centers, dancing, and getting boba with her friends.
Iqra Amir

Major: Neurobiology, Physiology, & Behavior
With the help of this organization, she hopes to ease academic stress on children and also be a friend for them to talk to. The pandemic has affected children greatly by not only limiting their social interactions, but also preventing them from effectively learning academically.

Jessica Ly

Jessica understands the importance of social interaction towards a student's learning experience. Because VYB's goal coincides with such, joining the club was the best decision to do. Jessica enjoys volunteering her time to assist students with their academics and providing the fun social interaction through virtual activities and conversations. She also hopes, as an aspiring pediatrician, that this is another step in gaining experience to work with adolescents.
Krisha Malik
